In 1960 Joe Kittinger jumped to earth from 102,800 feet (31.333 mtr.), near the edge of space.

On October 14, 2012 Felix Baumgartner set a new worldrecord when he made a stratospheric balloon flight to 128,000 feet (39.000 mtr.) and left the capsule for a very special skydive.

WORLD RECORD FROM FELIX BAUMGARTNER IS BROKEN

Alan Eustace, 57, a senior vice president of Google, parachuted from a balloon near the top of the stratosphere on October 24, 2014. He was falling faster than the speed of sound and breaking the world altitude record set just two years ago.

With the jump in 2012 Felix set a lot of records... ..he was the first human body in history who breaks the speed of sound... ..he made the highest man balloon flight... (the previous was set on 113.740 ft - 34.668 mtr. in 1961 by US Navy Officers Victor A. Prather, Jr and Malcolm Ross). ! This record is now broken by Alan Eustace. .. and he used the biggest balloon ever used (29.470 cubic feet). ! This record is now broken by Alan Eustace (his balloon was 35.000 cubic feet).



The records from Felix were made as the Red Bull Stratos mission to the edge of space.
